Workers Memorial Day 2006

Events are taking place around New Zealand and around the world to mark Workers Memorial Day on April 28. On this day we come together to remember those who have been killed or injured at work, and to fight for the health and safety of the living.
Under the theme of "Union workplaces - Safer workplaces" Unions will be focusing on education and organising around health and safety. We will also be demanding accountability from employers who refuse to meet their obligations to provide a healthy and safe workplace.
