Union Education

The CTU Organising Centre co-ordinates and delivers a national programme of cross union education for delegates, activists and union staff.

The Organising Centre coordinates and delivers one day programmes such as the Unions at Work: Cross Union Delegates Seminar, and Leadership Development for Young Workers.

In partnership with the CTUs Representative Structures, the Centre also coordinates the Leadership Development for Women Workers, the Pacific Workers Cross Union Fono and Nga Kaimahi Maori workshops.

For union staff and experienced delegates, we deliver the three day Skills of Organising, the four day Training Skills and one day Education and Action workshops.

The Centre also delivers a nine month Organiser Traineeship to co-ordinate the education, development and mentoring of new union organisers who learn while they are on the job.

All our cross union education programmes are Employment Related Education Leave approved.
