IT Support/Secretary Administrator
E tū is New Zealand’s largest private-sector union. We represent, organise and campaign with working people across Aotearoa New Zealand.
We currently have a full-time vacancy for an IT Support/Secretary Administrator in the Auckland office. This is a split role with 20 hours per week dedicated to IT Support/Helpdesk Assistant and a further 20 hours working within the administration stream to for union activity, providing secretarial/administration support.
This role requires a person with strong IT skills, and keen interest in maintaining and developing databases and ability to assist and support colleagues, in particular with technological developments and training, plus AD. High competency in Office 365 and other software (Adobe creative cloud and InDesign), SharePoint, solid administration skills, organisational skills (meetings, conferences, seminars) and ability to manage changing priorities using common sense and initiative.
The successful candidate should also possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, and a desire to improve and learn new skills relevant to the position. Some national travel will be required to fulfil the duties of the role.
Previous experience in a Union environment or advocate in another campaigning organisation is an advantage. Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work independently within a dynamic team and have a strong commitment to working people and the union movement.
A current full NZ driver’s licence, an awareness of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and good verbal and written communication skills are required.
