E tū – Organiser, Auckland

E tū is New Zealand’s largest private-sector union. We represent working people employed across 8 broad industries.

We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Union Organiser based in the Auckland area.

This very rewarding role involves working alongside hard working E tū union members to organise and advocate for a better, fairer experience at work and in society.

An E tū Union Organiser is responsible for developing workplace leaders, representing member’s issues and aspirations and negotiating with union members their Collective Employment Agreements.

This role requires a person with strong social justice principles, energy and the confidence to advocate on behalf of members.

Previous experience as a union delegate/organiser or advocate in another campaigning organisation is an advantage. Training will be provided.

Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work independently within a dynamic team and have a strong commitment to working people and the union movement.

A current full NZ driver’s license, some computer literacy and good verbal and written communication skills are required.
