The New Zealand Nurses’ Organisation (NZNO) is the lead professional nursing organisation and union for nurses. Our job and responsibility is to represent more than 52,000 nurses, midwives, students, kaimahi hauora and health workers in Aotearoa/New Zealand. We represent the interests of nurses on professional and employment related matters.
NZNO is a progressive organisation which embraces te Tiriti o Waitangi and works to improve the health status of all people of Aotearoa/New Zealand through participation in health and social policy development.
The Position is a full time position based in our Christchurch Office. The position leads a team of regional administration staff in offices located in Dunedin, Christchurch and Nelson.
The position is responsible maintaining a high performing admin team, liaise with landlords of south island properties including managing maintenance contracts and oversee office improvements. Some experience in event management/project management may be an advantage. This role reports to the Manager Corporate Services and can be called on to cover for the Northern Team Leader. Some travel will be necessary.
You will be a self-starter with a mature, ‘can do’ attitude, highly effective organisational and communication skills, with excellent judgement and personal integrity and interest in supporting and promoting unionism. The successful applicant should have an understanding of the significance of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
